ABOUT
The JROTC program was founded in 1916 as part of the National Defense Act, and ever since then, it has sprouted its roots all across America. However, In Umatilla, we have a program that is special. While in some other programs cadets are given opportunities to be responsible and become better citizens, we work constantly to embody that in its entirety and to go beyond what the expectation of us is. We are held to a standard, and that standard is success itself! The way the program works isn't by forcing our cadets to conform to an unattainable goal, but by uplifting them and making them actually WANT to be better than they were yesterday, That is our goal and mission as a whole! All that being said, we are here to help not just our Cadets but our Community, and who knows, maybe—just maybe—we could reach out even further than that!
